Olga Leyenson

Olga Leyenson has been a paralegal since 2001 and received her paralegal licence in 2008 after the profession became regulated in the Province of Ontario. She is a partner at Gobin & Leyenson LLP, a law firm that focuses on criminal and quasi-criminal defence work, litigation before various administrative tribunals, and civil litigation. Since 2018, Ms. Leyenson has been an instructor at George Brown College’s paralegal program, where she teaches residential landlord and tenant law, among other subjects. Ms. Leyenson holds an Associate of Science degree from Excelsior University, has mentored numerous paralegal students as a field placement supervisor, and was a volunteer appointee of the City of Oshawa’s Accessibility Advisory Committee. In December of 2022, Ms. Leyenson was awarded Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee award for volunteer service to the Oshawa Constituency including her work on the Accessibility Advisory Committee and the pro bono services that she provides as a member of the legal profession. Most recently, Ms. Leyenson became a contributing author for Emond’s Communication and Writing for Paralegals, 2nd Edition.
