Alison Kossowski
Alison Kossowski is a lawyer, educator and dedicated lifetime learner. She completed her PhD in molecular genetics at the University of Toronto and LLB at the University of Western Ontario. Licensed as a barrister and solicitor with the Law Society of Ontario, Alison has comprehensive legal experience working as litigation counsel with leading multi-national insurers and as a business ethics consultant with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. Alison is passionate about legal education and has taught extensively in the law clerk, paralegal and business programs at Centennial College, Georgian College and Lakehead University in addition to co-authoring the legal textbooks Foundations of Criminal and Civil Law in Canada, 5th edition and Tribunal Practice and Procedure, 2nd edition, both published by Emond. In her spare time she enjoys being active outdoors and applying her unique combination of scientific and legal expertise as a Board Member of the Georgian College Research Ethics Board.
