Ashlyn O’Mara, BA, LLB, BCL, is a full-time professor in the School of Legal, Public and Office Administration at Seneca College, where she teaches a variety of subjects, including Legal Drafting and Communication, Advocacy, Tribunal Practice and Procedure, and Computer Applications for Paralegals. Ashlyn also coaches Seneca’s Paralegal Moot Team and helps paralegal students prepare for various mooting competitions each year. For several years, Ashlyn worked as a practising lawyer in the areas of family law, estate planning and administration, estate litigation, and real estate law. She is a graduate of McGill University’s Faculty of Law, having obtained degrees in both civil law and common law. Ashlyn is an author of Advocacy for Paralegals, Second Edition (Toronto: Emond, 2016) and Communication and Writing for Paralegals (Toronto: Emond, 2018).
