Cherie A. Daniel
Cherie A Daniel (BA, LLB, LLM, MEd) is a lawyer, educator, and motivational speaker who is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Justice Education at the University of Toronto (OISE) with a collaborative specialization in Women and Gender studies, where she is preparing to conduct critical ethnographic research to examine experiences and pedagogical and legal practices of Black female law professors in Canada. Cherie graduated from the University of Toronto (OISE) with an MEd in Adult Education and Community Develop- ment. She is also a founding member of the National Black Graduate Net- work (NBGN). In 2020, she was named one of 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women. In March 2021, Cherie was the first recipient of the inaugural Culti- vating Community Award from the University of Toronto (OISE). Most recently, Cherie was the 2021 recipient of the Dianne Martin Medal for Social Justice Through Law.
