Greg Hagen

Greg Hagen, B.A., M.A. (UBC), PhD. (Western), LL.B. (Dalhousie), LL.M. (Ottawa), is an associate professor in the faculty of law at the University of Calgary. His research interests include intellectual property law, technology law and legal theory. He has written (or co-written) articles concerning the patenting of biotechnology, ISP liability, technological neutrality, the regulation of synthetic biology, file sharing, the political philosophy of intellectual property, and the domain name system. His current research projects focus on the regulation of synthetic biology and information security in courts. Professor Hagen's graduate studies in law focused on technology law and his Ph.D. is in the philosophy of science. He is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia.
