Janet Walker
Janet Walker, BA (Hons), MA (York), JD (Osgoode), MA, DPhil (Oxon), is professor and past associate dean at Osgoode Hall Law School. Professor Walker specializes in domestic and international procedural law, including conflict of laws and international commercial arbitration. Among her visiting professorships, she has been a Hauser Global Visiting Professor at NYU, Leverhulme Professor at Oxford, and a foreign research professor at the Faculté des sciences juridiques in Tunisia from 2001-2014. She gave a series of lectures at The Hague Academy of International Law in 2005 and was common law advisor to the Federal Courts Rules Committee from 2006-2015. She is currently a member of the Presidium of the International Association of Procedural Law and serves as an international commercial arbitrator.
