Jeremy Streeter
Jeremy Streeter obtained his bachelor of laws from the University of Toronto in 2003. He has worked as Crown counsel at the Department of Justice/Public Prosecution Service of Canada (PPSC) since his call to the bar in 2004. In 2008, Jeremy became a member of the Anti-Organized Crime team, becoming a team leader in 2018. Jeremy has prosecuted criminal cases at all levels of court in Ontario, including numerous appearances at the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has prosecuted a number of large-scale wiretap cases focusing on a variety of local, national, and international organized crime groups engaged in high-level drug importation and trafficking. As senior counsel at PPSC, Jeremy has provided frequent advice to police on issues related to search and seizure, digital evidence, wiretapping, and privilege. As a wiretap agent, Jeremy has brought forward numerous applications to intercept private communications in order to assist in the investigation of organized crime groups and drug traffickers.
Jeremy lectures frequently to lawyers and law enforcement officers on issues of search and seizure, digital evidence, privilege, and wiretapping.
