Jonathan W. Heshka

Jonathan W. Heshka, BSc, BA, BEd, MEd, LL.M Jon Heshka is a professor specializing in the legal liability and risk management of adventure and extreme sport. He teaches at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, BC, in both the law school and the adventure studies departments. Jon was Associate Dean of Law at TRU from 2013- 2017. He has written numerous book chapters and more than 70 articles, and his work has been published in several law journals. Jon has climbed and led expeditions worldwide and trained and coordinated search and rescue full-time for seven years in BC. He has also worked as an expert witness in Canada, the US, and Europe in matters relating to adventure sports risk management.
