Kent Roach
Kent Roach is a Professor of Law at the University of Toronto where he holds the Prichard Wilson Chair in Law and Public Policy. He is the recipient of the prestigious Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Fellowship, and was appointed as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2015. His book Constitutional Remedies in Canada won the 1997 Owen Prize for best law book and is now in its second edition and is updated annually. Professor Roach has also written 13 other books and is working on a comparative text on remedies for violations of human rights. He has also acted for interveners in leading Supreme Court cases including in the landmark 2010 Charter damages case of Ward v. British Columbia.
