Nadine Hoffman

Nadine Hoffman, B.A. (Calgary), MLIS (Alberta) is currently the natural resources, energy & environmental law librarian at the Bennett Jones Law Library and the liaison librarian for the Institute of Sustainable Energy, Environment, and Economy at the University of Calgary. Nadine graduated with her Masters of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) degree from the University of Alberta in 1996 and her B.A. in history from the University of Calgary in 1993. She worked in a variety of positions in academic, special, and public libraries before focusing on law librarianship. Her previous positions include the cataloging/government materials librarian at the Illinois Institute of Technology—Chicago-Kent College of Law and the Technical Services Librarian at the Law Society Library in Alberta. She is currently embedded in the graduate law program at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law where she teaches legal research to students. Nadine’s scholarship interests include teaching legal research, teaching with technology, embedded librarianship, carbon capture and storage, current awareness services, and interdisciplinary library services and legal research.
