Peter W. Hogg
Peter Hogg (LL.B., LL.M., Ph.D. Q.C.) is Canada’s leading authority on Constitutional Law. Recognized in Canadian Lawyer magazine as one of Canada's 25 most influential lawyers, Peter Hogg is a distinguished lawyer, author, and legal scholar. He has given advice to the Government of Canada, the Government of Ontario, other provincial governments, legislative committees, various public bodies, aboriginal organizations, and private law firms. He has appeared as counsel in a number of constitutional cases, 14 of which have gone to the Supreme Court of Canada. Peter Hogg is a Scholar in Residence at Blakes, as well as professor emeritus and former Dean of Osgoode Hall Law School. He has received numerous honours and awards, including an Honorary Doctorate of Laws at several universities, Law Society Medal from the LSUC, Queen’s Counsel (Ontario), Companion of the Order of Canada (highest level of the order), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
