Rose Faddoul
Rose Faddoul, LL.B. (Windsor), M.Ed. (Windsor), is the review counsel at Community Legal Aid, an SLASS (Student Legal Aid Services Society) of the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1999. She also possesses an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology and psychology and recently completed a master’s degree in education (2012) at the University of Windsor. Her practice prior to joining the clinic in 2003 was in family law, civil and commercial litigation, and real estate transactions. Her current areas of practice at Community Legal Aid include: criminal summary conviction offences, provincial/regulatory offences, consumer rights, Small Claims Court actions, and tenancy issues, together with university affairs and discipline matters. Rose speaks Arabic and is a native of Essex County. Her educational interests include clinical legal education, higher education, legal writing, advocacy, and litigation. She is affiliated with a number of social justice initiatives such as Windsor Lawyers Feed the Hungry, the Essex County Mental Health & Justice System Task Force Mental Health Court Subcommittee, Pro Bono Law Ontario Child Advocacy Project, and World Vision Canada. She is a member of the board of directors for the Association for Canadian Clinical Legal Education and her affiliations include the Law Society of Upper Canada, Clinical Legal Education Association, Essex Law Association, Criminal Lawyers Association of Ontario, Essex County Criminal Lawyers Association, the Southwest Regional Women Lawyers Association, and the Distinguished Visitors in Women's Studies program.
